Snow Delay and Closing Information

Our policy is to follow the delay and closing decision made by the Mechanicsburg School District.  Information will also be announced on the following:

  • Radio:  WHP 580 AM
  • TV:  WHP Channel 21, WGAL Channel 8 and WHTM Channel 27
  • Websites:  www.bbsk12.org and www.abc27.com (click on Mechanicsburg or BBS)
  • Phone:  You will receive an automated telephone message

For a one hour delay, both PreK and 1/2 day Kindergarten are in session and are dismissed at 11:30 a.m., our regular time.  With a two hour delay, there is NO PreK and 1/2 day Kindergarten is dismissed at 12:30.

In the event of an early dismissal due to inclement weather, please go to our website (www.bbsk12.org) to see when BBS, or the school district providing your children's transportation, is dismissing.  Please do not call the school.  We want to keep the phone lines open for parents calling with a change to their child's transportation.  Our website is updated as soon as we hear from other districts.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
