When are the Open Houses, Parent Orientations and Back-to-School Nights?
- Open House:
- Grades PreK-6: Thursday, August 25, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
- New Parent Orientation (for parents only)
- Grades PreK-6: Monday, August 22, 7:00 p.m.
- Back-to-School Nights
- Grades 1-6: Thursday, September 1, 7:00 p.m. (for parents only)
- Grades 7-12: Thursday, August 25, 7:00 p.m.
The School Day
- When does the school day begin and end?
- Begins: 8:12 a.m.
- Ends: PreK & Kindergarten: 11:30 a.m./Grades 1-12: 2:54 p.m.
- When is chapel?
- Every Thursday
- What is sold in the cafeteria?
- Cold drinks, a la carte items, hot platters
- Menus are posted in the cafeteria and are available on our website at www.bbsk12.org under For Parents>Lunch Menu.
- What is the dress code?

- What is the discipline code?

- When is the earliest children can be dropped off in the morning and when are they to be picked up after school?
- Morning: 7:45 a.m. (7:30 a.m. in the elementary for a fee)
- Afternoon: Kindergarten: 11:30 a.m./Grades 1-12: 2:54 p.m.
- If I drive my children to school, where do I drop them off and where do I pick them up?
- Elementary: in the lower parking lot
- MS/HS: in the upper parking lot

- An elementary newsletter is sent home weekly
- On a weekly basis, a school-wide Newsletter is posted on Renweb and on our website under For Parents>Weekly Newsletter
- Elementary folders containing your children's work are sent home weekly
- The Board minutes and financial reports are available for review in the office
- Grades, attendance, and discipline records are on Renweb. The office will notify you how to access this web based site.
- What are the school's extension numbers?

Extracurricular
Sports
- When do the sports seasons begin?
- Fall: August 15
- Winter: November 21
- Spring: March 5
- When must my child have a physical?
- MS: once a year before the first season
- HS: before every season
- Does the school have a "cut" policy?

- How will I get sports schedules?
- Each athlete is given a schedule for his or her sport season. Schedules are on our website at www.bbsk12.org under Athletics. Directions to all away games are also on the website.
- What are the eligibility requirements?

Music
- Does the school offer music lessons?
- Yes. Free group instrumental lessons are given in the elementary school. Private lessons are also given. The fee is paid directly to the instructor. Please call the office for details.
- Does the school have bands and choirs?
- Bands in elementary and middle school/high school
- Choirs in elementary, middle school, and high school
- What performing opportunities are available?
- Winter and spring concerts, Fine Arts Festivals, Chapel and other outreaches
Drama
- Does the middle school and high school have a play?
- The middle school/high school play is in the spring.
