Preparing children academically and spiritually for a life of service
Made in the image of God (Gen. 1), the whole man includes creativity, which is a reflection of God’s creative work. We discover, understand, and appreciate God through His variety of intricate forms revealed in creation. For the Christian artist, making things with our hands is an expression of our inner thoughts and feelings as guided by the Holy Spirit. An artist’s constructions and compositions should be reflective of truth and beauty in the midst of a lost and despairing world. Therefore, we include art in the curriculum to encourage and promote abilities in inventiveness, expression, and craftsmanship through instruction, research, Biblical guidance, exploration, and diligent practice using various art media. Christian art is not limited to a particular style or form, era or culture, or religious content only, but is unique to the individual and the gifts God has given him/her.
